Ms. McConnico, a Shareholder with Looper Reed & McGraw, P.C.'s family law section, is Board Certified in Family Law. Her practice focuses on family law litigation, collaborative law, mediation and civil court guardian ad litem appointments for children. Family law experience includes divorce proceedings, property characterization, valuation and division, child support modifications, modifications of visitation and parental rights, enforcement of court orders, pre-marital and post-marital agreements, co-habitation and partnership agreements, adoptions, mediations and collaborative law divorce settlements. Ms. McConnico has tried jury and non-jury cases before courts handling family law matters in Harris, Galveston, Montgomery, Brazoria and Fort Bend Counties. Additionally, she has training in alternative dispute resolution techniques and strives to help clients reach amicable, economically wise solutions before resorting to litigation. Finally, she has handled over 250 guardian ad litem appointments in civil court injury cases analyzing and structuring settlements for children.

Representative Experience
  • Winning custody for a client who had been ejected from the family home and wrongfully accused of child abandonment.
  • Enforcing divorce decree against ex-spouse who failed to return property and pay monies owed and under the decree.
  • Presenting case to Fourteenth Court of Appeals regarding ability of family law judges to provide security for mediated settlement agreements.
  • Resolving a divorce in a $23 million estate, mainly by valuing nine tranches of stock options and restricted stock grants.
  • Creating prenuptial agreement and estate planning documents for client with significant assets and partnership interests.
  • Analyzing and structuring settlements in over 175 cases for injured children as a Guardian ad Litem.
